With regulators placing more focus on IT and Operational Risk Management, organizations in Canada and the United States are putting programs in place to improve oversight in these areas and enable better decision making and resilience.
At the annual RSA Archer Summit, October 21-23 in Chicago, I’ll be presenting a talk along with Andrew Vesay from TD Bank called “A Complexity of Integration: Integrating Technology Risk with Operational Risk” (Thursday, October 22, 11:15am-12:00pm in Room E258).
The bank needed to roll out a series of projects to integrate IT and Operational Risk requirements. Their goal was to give senior leaders a transparent view of all their core business processes and related risks, setting the foundation for RSA Archer to create more relevant KRI/KPI dashboards.
This was (and continues to be) a challenging process, involving multiple stakeholders with different priorities and points of view. We’ll talk about how we’ve approached getting alignment, maintaining vision, and managing change throughout the process.
I’m looking forward to talking with Andrew about the process, challenges, and valuable metrics that have resulted from aggregation, as well as what’s to come in future enhancements.
